How do you (literally) use it? Your band (the “bracelet”) they give you at check in for embarkation at the port is your way of paying for everything on Virgin Voyages.

What’s better? You can real time keep track of how much Sailor Loot you have (and have left) via the app while looking at up-to-date expenses.

How to Get Sailor Loot

Getting your hands on Sailor Loot is simple, but getting your hands on LOTS of Sailor Loot might not be the way you’d expect to.

Virgin Voyages generously gives out onboard credit through various promotions and deals when you book your cruise.

However, a little insider tip: while I thought I was a tech-savvy traveler, it turns out that travel agents often get even better deals on Sailor Loot. So, it might be worth getting a quote from a trusted travel agent to maximize your treasure.

To spend completely by myself, I had $1,100 in Sailor Loot because I went through a travel agent vs. the $300 I could have gotten booking directly with Virgin Voyages.

Before we set sail into the sunset, there’s an important piece of information you must remember: Sailor Loot is “use it or lose it”.

If you don’t spend all your Sailor Loot by the end of your voyage, it’s gone. This is a crucial detail that many travelers overlook, so plan your spending wisely to make the most of every penny.

I’ll admit, I’ve left a few bucks on the table, but you can always run to High Street (the shops) to find ways to use it. So on that note, let’s talk about the various ways to SPEND your Virgin Voyages Sailor Loot…

Now, for the fun part: spending your Sailor Loot. Or if it’s something you’d prefer, it IS an option to GAMBLE it.

Virgin Voyages’ ships are culinary paradises, with six restaurants where you can make dinner reservations and endulge in elevated food experiences.

Imagine truffles sprinkled over freshly made pasta at Extra Virgin or savoring Wagyu on the grill at Gunbae.

Not to mention, you can opt for a luxurious seafood plateau at The Wake available in both a single plateau and a full plateau.

Your Sailor Loot can turn a great meal into an extraordinary dining adventure.

2. Ship Delivery

Beyond the restaurants, your Sailor Loot can cover the nominal fee for ship delivery — bringing delicious food right to your room.

3. High Tea at Sip

And for those who have a penchant for the refined, the high tea experience onboard is unparalleled. You can choose between just tea and pastries or include a glass of Moët to toast to your travels.

4. Juices, Smoothies, Craft Coffee and Drinks
