If you’re planning a trip to New York City and looking for a hotel that’s stylish, comfortable, and centrally located, Virgin Hotel NYC should definitely be on your radar.
I recently stayed at this Manhattan property and explored everything from the rooms to the rooftop.

In this post, I’ll walk you through exactly what to expect, what I loved, and a few things to consider—so you can decide if this hotel is the right fit for your visit.
Hotel Overview: What to Expect
Virgin Hotel NYC is a modern 39-story hotel with 460 rooms, including suites and penthouses.
It sits on the corner of 29th Street and Broadway, placing you right in the heart of Manhattan. The design is bold, contemporary, and fits the fast-paced, vibrant energy of the city.
The hotel offers more than just a place to sleep—with a rooftop terrace, restaurants, nightlife, and well-thought-out amenities, it’s a destination in itself.

Location: Right in the Heart of Manhattan
One of the biggest highlights of this property is the location.
It’s ideally situated in the NoMad neighborhood, making it incredibly easy to get around.
You’re surrounded by subway lines, close to popular neighborhoods like Chelsea and Flatiron, and you can walk to a ton of attractions.

There’s also a City Bike station just outside the hotel, which is a great option if you want to explore the city on two wheels.
Room Walkthrough: Inside the Chambers
Virgin calls their rooms “Chambers,” and the layout is both unique and functional.
You enter through the Dressing Room area, which includes a vanity, double closet, and a spacious bathroom with a bench in the shower.
Past a pair of doors is the Lounge area—your sleeping and relaxation space. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for NYC standards, and the large windows provide fantastic city views.

You’ll also find a well-stocked red SMEG fridge, a cozy lounge bed, and smart lighting that activates as you move through the space. It’s stylish, quiet, and comfortable enough to stay in for the night.

Dining & Drinks: Everdene and More
Everdene, the hotel’s third-floor bar and lounge, is a standout spot. It’s beautifully designed, lively without being chaotic, and a great place to grab a cocktail or some small bites.
During my stay, I also had dinner at the hotel’s main restaurant on the fourth floor. The food was excellent, and the setting made it feel like more than just your average hotel restaurant.

Nightlife: Riff Raff and Rooftop Views
Riff Raff is the hotel’s late-night venue, and while I didn’t get footage from the night I went, the experience was great.
A live DJ, cool vibe, and indoor city views made it a fun and convenient option if you want to stay in for the night without missing out.
The rooftop terrace, on the other hand, is a showstopper. It offers sweeping 180-degree views of Manhattan that are especially stunning at sunset.
Other Amenities: Pool, Gym & More
The hotel includes a heated rooftop pool (available to overnight guests), a fitness center open 24/7, and unique public spaces like The Lounge, The Library, and The Conservatory.
They also host yoga and wellness events. Pets are welcome too, and Virgin provides thoughtful amenities for furry companions.
If you’re a member of The Know or Virgin Red, you’ll also get perks like personalized mini-fridge stocking and reward points you can use toward other Virgin experiences.
