Have you ever wanted to get up close and even FEED the alligators in Florida? If so, visiting Gatorland in Orlando, Florida is a must!
Helpful things to know
- Feed the gators
You can feed the baby alligators (with fish!). I recommend doing this FIRST before it get’s crowded. They give you everything you need (including the pole that doesn’t actually “catch” the gators”. $5 will get you 3 fish.
2. Feed everything else
Not only can you feed the gators, but you can feed the flamingoes, fish, turtles and SO MUCH MORE. Consider coming and feeding the gators FIRST, then head out to do everything else, even though the park opens at 10am, most things don’t actually open until 11.
3. Eat at Pearl’s
Is it weird to eat gator bites while at Gatorland? They’re the only delicious thing on the menu.
4. Ride the train
For just $3 you can ride the train around the park and get a tour (and spare yourself the walking).
5. See the gator show

welcome to gatorland everything you need to know about visiting this park coming up
i think the first thing to know is the first thing you don’t want to miss which is feeding the gators not the big ones but the baby gators that’s a lot of gators oh man that smells so bad okay so we have to pierce it ourselves
feeding the gators five dollars will get you three fish and they give you these poles and what’s interesting about the poles is that they don’t catch the gators and make sure you don’t hurt the gators but you can feed them the fish and there are basically three tanks plus four this one right here where you can feed the alligators and they will jump for the fish and it’s really really really fun but you have to be careful because the birds will also go after your fish
and not only that you can feed everything not just the gators but whether it’s the flamingos or the birds or the fish you’ve got the option to feed everything
and also make sure you feed yourself there’s not a ton of options of where to eat here but we ate at pearls and i would say the thing you don’t want to miss is the theater bites
which by the way if you’re new here yo i’m christine and this is where in the world is CL and i make travel videos every week to help you get up and go travel so if you’d like to travel consider subscribing let’s talk about the next one which i’m really surprised by you can zipline through this amazing park and it’s not only the number one zip line in the united states but it’s also wheelchair accessible which i think is kind of cool but it’s five zip lines taking you through the park
another way of getting around is on the train and for three dallas you can go around the park with the
train uh here’s a tip if you have kids and it’s hot because it’s florida but you have to go to the fun kids area where you can get wet and splash around and don’t miss the gator show if you want to see the big gators eating you’ve got to check out the gator show happens around one o’clock but make sure you line up early get a spot to be able to see them feeding the gators and here’s a couple other just helpful things to know this park is open seven days a week from 10 to five but i highly recommend that you get here when it opens at 10 there is free parking and the first thing you should do is feed the gators get that done first before everyone else gets here and then after that go explore the park but know the majority of things whether it’s being able to go into certain encounters or being able to eat etc most things open at 11. oh and fun fact if you are here visiting from florida as a florida resident you can get discounted tickets gators such a florida thing to do tell me in the comments below if you’re considering this we are headed back to the waldorf to spend the afternoon in the pool come join us over there in that video and we’ll see you in the next adventure ciao
