We also talk about nudist colonies, but like the title says: It’s not what you think
In one of my favorite travel chats on this podcast I talk with Erica Hackman (Virvo) about her travel adventures. She went to college for interior design, but realized 2.5 years in, she didn’t want to do it.
She didn’t know what she wanted to do instead, but she did know she was ready for an adventure.
In listening to her story, she shares some stories about how her curiosity has led to her to unique experiences (from attending World Domination Summit and learning about tantra, to living on communes to a $10 per month termite hut in Africa).

Key takeaways
There are some themes in Erica’s story…
- If you’re curious, just TRY IT
Why CAN’T we take more of a “why not” attitude and just TRY it. Without action, how are we really supposed to know about the things we are curious about in life? - Connect with others and share
One of the most powerful things about Erica’s story is her willingness to reach out to people openly. Show them her vulnerability and ask them to help her (while equally trying to be of value and give back). It’s what has made not only her travels more rich, but her life. - Trust yourself…
Because you believe in yourself, and you really, really can. If you don’t, start today.
