Bonaire Island has the ability to take my breath away with it’s beauty.
This island is incredibly special given how remote and uninhabited it is. It means the reef is perfect. It means even though there is a single road that goes around the island, there are parts that are totally empty.
I’ve made a series of blog posts and a video playlist of helpful Bonaire travel videos to help people discover this amazing island, but I made THIS Bonaire cinematic video for me:
It captures some of my favorite moments traveling here in 2022. I show both the beautiful blue clear days this island is known for, but I also show the ugly days when it was raining and I got tossed around in the ocean.
The ocean used to be my biggest fear, but the more I spent time around it, then in it… then going from being an average diver to an excellent diver, I grew curious about everything in the ocean.
And I (literally) got closer… and closer. I learned that there is nothing to fear underwater. That all the things I thought wanted to bite or sting or eat me had no interest in me. And I learned their habits, their movements and everything about them was fascinating. That if you move slowly and show your own curiosity, they’ll do the same thing back.
Bonaire, you have a piece of my heart. I’m forever thankful to Henthorne and non profit One Blue Ocean for taking me on as part of their creator team to help me discover this amazing island.
