He’s been flying drones since the original DJI Spark was out in 2015 and had a friend who had been flying drones and showed him the ropes. Since then he’s brought his drones around the world.

Key Learnings
- Visual line of sight becomes VERY important when flying in areas that may be open airspace, but has a lot of activity from helicopters. They can fly in fast and at varying heights, sometimes VERY low and they aren’t always loud. If your drone is in the air and you want to lower it as MUCH as possible to let the helicopter pass, one tip is to have quick setting to make your gimbal move from 0/90 as one of your quick buttons. Flip it into 0 and then into sport mode to bring your drone as low as possible while looking at it and the screen to make sure you’re safely flying to 30 feet or less
- Flying in cold or flying in heat can significantly impact your battery level (making it burn through your battery faster than normal

He realized there was an eagle in the area while flying his drone and creating a video about hiking in New York. He took his drone down and like I share about flying drones in Utah (flying your drone after cows is illegal in that state), later he learned flying around eagles is the same.
