JOIN us for a group trip to Mexico City Oct 18-25, 2025! This is a 7 night/8 day epic adventure you WILL NOT want to miss.
I’m telling you up front how much it costs: $3,499 and it includes A LOT OF EPIC ADVENTURES (your accommodations, tours, and a ton of meals and drinks), but doesn’t include your flight.
Omg, that’s a lot. But is it? I chose this trip because it is the MOST FUN and the MOST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK for what we will be offering you (trust me, I wanted this trip to be in Greece, but it was more than double the price)…

Sunrise hot air balloon ride over the pyramids
One of the MOST magical things I did in Mexico City! It’s incredibly beautiful, peaceful and will take your breath away.
Eating, drinking and BOATING in Xochimilco
We’ll take an hour drive from Mexico City and get on a boat where we’ll eat, drink, listen to music (dance!!) and have a fun afternoon!
Watch Lucha Libre and eat TACOS!
Mexican wrestling is waaaaay more hilarious (and entertaining) than I anticipated. It’s a super fun (few hour) activity and tacos, well, obviously amazing.

Is that it? NO.
There is a ton of content out with MORE coming!
Who is this trip for? Is this the right trip for me?
If you haven’t met me in person yet, the top thing people tell me is: “WHOA. You are EXACTLY the way I expected you to be.”
Sometimes that’s followed up by “but shorter than I expected” (I am quite short), but the person I show up as in my videos, is EXACTLY who I am in real life. I don’t know why that’s shocking for people. I keep it VERY real in my content.
Here are the top things I’m asked about this trip
Q: Do I need be YOUNG to be on this trip? I mean, I’m not in my twenties anymore.
A: Surprise. Neither am I. My close friend in SF is in her sixties and can out-drink me. I play pickleball with an 80 year old dude who opens a can of whoop ass on me on the court. AGE AIN’T NOTHING BUT A NUMBER. I act like I’m 12.
Q: Do I have to DRINK to enjoy this trip?
A: No. There will be a lot of organized “wine downs” (let’s have a glass of wine, do some stretches at the house together, reflect on the day, ask thoughtful questions about life) and also, there will be options for going out to bars and nightclubs. I go out dancing A LOT while completely sober.
Translation: alcohol is NOT required to have a great time. Will alcohol be an option? Yes. Do you need to drink it? No.
Q: Is this a female only trip?
A: No. It’s co-ed. There are options for solo rooms and shared rooms, we’ll work it out so everyone feels like two thumbs up about the entire thang a lang.
Q: Do I need to be FIT to be on this trip?
A: Tbh, no. Being able to walk a mile without needing a piggy back ride is great. So is being able to walk up and down stairs (the house is 4 stories). I am adding some wellness components to the trip, but they are optional. If you want to “relax” or “be lazy” you can do you boo-boo.
Q: I’ve never done a group trip before.
A: COOL! There is a first time for everything. Don’t sweat it. I’m going to setup a ton of PRE-TRIP virtual meetups. You will NOT be a stranger on this trip. Those virtual meetups are optional, but those virtual meetups will be fun.
Q: Can I come alone? Do I need to bring someone?
A: Either one. See note above.

Episode 1 of 3: An honest chat about the GOOD and BAD of TRAVELING ALONE
In episode 67 of “Everyday Badassery,” we talk about our experiences of solo travel, navigating both its empowering highs and challenging lows.
Laura and I share our personal stories, from our first steps into solo travel to the breakthroughs and difficulties we’ve encountered along the way.
A few episode highlights:
- Laura recounted her first solo trip at age 21 to Segovia, Spain, where she grappled with initial homesickness and the discomfort of being out of her element. Despite these challenges, she formed lasting friendships that transformed her experience, illustrating the profound impact of human connections in unfamiliar environments.
- I reflected on my own experiences with solo travel, initially during work trips and later through a transformative journey to New York City post-breakup. This solo venture was a quest to reclaim my sense of self and confidence, facilitated by the spontaneous connections made with locals and other travelers.
- We addressed the empowering yet sometimes daunting aspects of traveling alone, from the introspective moments of dining solo to the importance of safety and preparedness, such as carrying safety alarms and adjusting behaviors in unfamiliar settings.
- Both Laura and I emphasized the importance of starting with small solo adventures, like spending a day alone in a nearby city, to build confidence and ensure that solo travel is a fit before committing to longer, more extensive journeys.
Throughout the episode, we highlighted the deep personal growth and self-discovery that solo travel can foster. We also acknowledged the value of safety, thoughtful preparation, and sometimes the reassurance of group travel. Read on for our next episode about group trips, but in the meantime…
Episode 2 of 3: Group trips can be a WORST nightmare or the BEST way to travel
In episode 68 of Everyday Badassery, Laura and I share candid insights into what makes group trips both amazing and occasionally troublesome (to put it lightly)…
Whether you’re considering joining one of our own upcoming badass adventures or exploring elsewhere, this discussion helps you to understand what questions to ask yourself (and the group experience you’re considering) to make sure it’s the right one for you…
Key takeaways from our conversation include:
- The impact of group size: Laura and I reflect on the downsides of oversized groups, sharing personal anecdotes such as my daunting 55-person trip to Machu Picchu, which felt more like being herded than exploring. Laura emphasizes the value of smaller groups for creating deeper connections and avoiding logistical nightmares.
- Setting expectations: We stress the importance of clear communication and thorough preparation. From choosing the right activities to understanding the group’s dynamics, knowing what to expect is crucial for a satisfying group travel experience.
- The power of shared experiences: We recount stories of friendships and even marriages stemming from group trips, highlighting the transformative potential of these shared adventures.
Join us for an honest chat about group travel, both the highs and the lows…
Episode 3 of 3: Travel after 40 and divorce: The transition from being a vacationer to a TRAVELER
Travel is about learning something new and experiencing something DIFFERENT.
In episode 69 of Everyday Badassery, Laura and I spill our guts about the vacationers we USED to be in our relationships that didn’t work for us – vs. the world travelers we are now.
Was it an easy journey? No. Is it easy to do the scary things? No. But we do it anyway.
Key highlights from our conversation include:
- The Evolution of Travel: Laura and I discuss the dramatic shifts in our travel styles post-divorce, transitioning from routine vacations to more intentional, transformative journeys. We emphasize the importance of embracing unfamiliar experiences and seeking purpose in every trip.
- Overcoming Fear: We both highlight that our travels often happen despite fear. Sharing stories of confronting challenges “scared,” we inspire listeners to step beyond their comfort zones for the invaluable rewards that await.
- The Role of Group Trips: Laura shares insights into leading group trips and the joy of witnessing others experience new adventures for the first time, rekindling my own passion for travel. Together, we extend an invitation to our listeners to join us on group trips, promising an inclusive and empowering adventure.
